Transformation is at the heart of this practice.

A practice rooted in compassion, cultural humility, change, and celebrations.

Therapeutic Process

It can feel nerve-wracking to begin therapy because you aren't sure what to expect. Or, you might have been in therapy before, and whether that was a positive experience or not, starting over with a new therapist may seem daunting.

It is normal and common to feel this way, so let's examine the therapeutic process.

Within my practice, you'll be presented with an inclusive and trauma-informed environment where you can be honest about your thoughts, emotions, and experiences. We'll draw on the strengths and wisdom that you've built throughout your life as we examine your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and approach change with an eye towards ensuring that your life is abundantly aligned with the values that you consider key.

Initially, treatment will address distress by modifying symptoms and then working towards deeper levels of change.

My hope for you as a client is to experience sustained gains in functioning, enhanced well-being, and greater self-awareness, self-compassion and self-acceptance as you engage within your life with more ease.

A Holistic Approach to Therapy

Your mind and body are intricately interwoven. Your physical well-being impacts your mental and emotional well-being and vice versa. My dual training in psychology and public health keeps this connection at the forefront of my work with clients.

When permitted, I collaborate with my clients' other healthcare providers to form wraparound care that addresses each aspect of their well-being.

Mental health concerns can feel isolating and overwhelming, but you're not alone. Holistic, evidence-based support is available to you as you heal, transform, and grow.
